Creative Baby Shower Gifts

Diapers in a Bigger Size:

Newborn diapers are a popular and really great gift.  We got a ton of diapers at my baby shower, but they were all size newborn.  Consider buying diapers in a bigger size, like a 2.  Trust me, the new mom will be grateful for the head start.  Walmart is always a good place to buy diapers.  You can usually get a good deal on diapers here.

Meal Delivery:

After my daughter was born, the one thing I hated was cooking.  Our schedules were all thrown off and I was always too exhausted to cook.  We ended up eating a lot of take out.  Consider gifting a meal delivery for one or two days.  A mom who doesn't have to cook is a happy mom.  You can put together this gift a few different ways.  You can give her a gift card to a local restaurant that delivers or does take out.  Some examples are: Panera, Olive Garden or Dominos.  Another, healthier route is to purchase her a meal delivery kit like Martha and Marley.  You can find a Martha and Marley kit here.

The Miracle Blanket :

Giving the gift of a Miracle Blanket is like giving the gift of sleep.  The only better gift would be the book, Baby Sleep Solution. It looks a little like a baby straight jacket. ( I know, I know. That doesn't sound appealing.) You will be amazed by how well it comforts a baby.  My daughter would stop crying within seconds of being swaddled with the miracle blanket. In my opinion, the grey ones with the colored trim are the softest (soft jersey) material. I would highly recommend this gift! You can often find one on sale here.

A Wet Bag:

Every mom needs a wet bag in their arsenal.  You would be shocked how often you will have soaked clothes to carry home.  I usually keep a dry set of clothes inside the bag and then it's ready to be switched out.  Wet clothes go in and dry clothes goes on. You can buy this bag here.

Baby Bum Diaper Rash Cream Brush:

This item is the best thing ever.  I have legitimately never have to touch diaper cream on purpose.  Most importantly, diaper cream is never under my nails.  Plus it is sanitary because you can use a wipe to wipe it clean every time.  You get an even spread and its easy to get into all the little crevices.  I have two, one for the house and one for my diaper bag. You can find this butt spatula here.

Babo Botanicals Moisturizing Baby Wash:

This wash (and entire baby line) is great for sensitive skin, especially eczema.  When I say this was us great for eczema, I mean it clears up painfully dry patches quickly.  If you don't believe that this wash is an eczema miracle, just read the amazon reviews here. Either way, it's great for sensitive skin (for adults too) and smells great too.

Milestone blanket:

Milestone cards used to be the trend.  Recently, milestone blankets have been more popular and I am obsessed with them. They are incredibly cute and an easy way to document your baby's first year. If you have never seen one, you can check them out here.

Kickee Pants swaddle:

You may have read my post about Kickee pants and children's clothes.  If you haven't read it yet, you can read it here.  Kickee swaddles are always a great gift and they looks so cute! They are made from super soft material for extra sensitive baby skin.  You can always find them on sale here.

  2. These are great ideas and so timely as I have several baby showers in the coming months. I especially love the milestone blankets as those weren't around (or popular if they were) when I had babies.

  5. Seriously would have loved to receive different size diapers other than newborn. Not that I was not grateful but seriously we could only use so many. All of these are great recommendations!

  11. I get invited to several baby showers a year and because I have no kids, I never know what to buy. Usually I beg the mom-to-be's sister for a list of needed items.

    This helps! Thanks
